PROgnostic Maintenance On The Edge for Robotics
(PROMOTER™) - Many robotic arms currently in operation do not have maintenance
prognostic systems and many do not even have the sensors necessary for the
detection of anomalies. We propose a solution that uses battery-operated
wireless accelerometers that can be positioned with a precision of 1/10 of mm
through locking systems that guarantee the repeatability of the joint
acceleration measurements. The sensors can be detached to recharge the
batteries and repositioned on the joints with maximum precision. The anomaly
detection system is based on Neuromem® technology
which, by learning a codebook of acceleration patterns, models the cinematic
chain of the robotic arm for a set of movements. The Neuromem®
technology is embedded inside a small form factory industrial computer that
is wireless connected with wireless sensors. We can design custom solutions
for your specific need in prognostic maintenance with existing robotic arms. |
